   Look around you. Plastic is everywhere and you don't even realize it. more than 1.5 million pounds of plastic enters the ocean in only an hour. This plastic is hurting and even killing sea life.    Sea turtles are a big percentage of creatures who die. They mistake plastic bags for jelly fish. Plastic straws get stuck in their noses. When baby fish are born, the first thing they do is find food. But these fish are unaware of what they are actually consuming. Particles of plastic float around in the ocean, but the only thing the babies think when they see them is food. The worst time in the fish's life to eat plastic is when they are just born. The reason for this is because if the fish dies before it can lay eggs, the fish population will drop lower and lower. Another worst-case scenario is if animals like sting rays and sharks eat plastic, then it is harming the remoras that attach to themselves.
